Mixed Technical & Color Rendering of a Café Interior

We have entered the phase where everything is starting to look TOO polished. Everyone is on the lookout for minute imperfections in art to prove/disprove authenticity. The result leads to a sort of uncanny valley where things look “too perfect.” So, I had a mini protest by choosing to peel back the layers of what constitutes a look of completion to the eye. I wanted to use raw elements so that the image would create a journey rather than a destination.
